With this development, Herford-based architect Joseph Pape has created an architectural eye-catcher – not least because of the all-glass exterior walls.
Description of the facility
This logistics centre provides Wortmann KG with new warehouse capacities at its Detmold location enabling it to merge existing field storage facilities and thus improve its goods-handling operations. The scope of performance includes the steel-reinforced loadbearing base of the high-bay warehouse, the two-storey goods-handling facility with 40 docking points, the three-storey administrative building in front and the outdoor facilities. The structure of the logistics centre consists of precast reinforced concrete elements.
