Geothermal energy, drainage basin, chilled and heated ceilings, deep foundations
In its first construction project for Jungheinrich, BREMER AG is tasked with realising two distribution centres at the same time. This newbuild project is for a service centre with warehouse and workshop areas as well as an adjoining 3-storey administrative building realised as a precast reinforced concrete structure. The hall has a sheet metal facade. The roof consists of trapezoidal sheeting with insulation and impermeable membrane. The facade of the administrative building is a sheet metal curtain facade with aluminium strip windows. The offices have a solid ceiling with insulation and impermeable membrane. The adjoining office building is linked to the hall by a connecting structure and showroom. The heating and cooling requirements of the building are met by geothermal energy. Offices and showroom are fitted with heated/chilled ceilings.
The north of the hall is accessed via a partially covered delivery area.
The south side, beneath the offices, will feature parking facilities and greened space.
In the west, a sizeable scarped drainage basin has been created to handle rainwater.
